Main Objective
Under this grant award Pipeline Safety Trust will provide accurate customized technical assistance to more communities in the following ways:
- Provide more focused outreach to communities that have shown an interest in pipeline safety issues to make them aware of the resources Pipeline Safety Trust can provide, and to provide them with the some initial customized technical assistance.
- Undertake a national Request for Qualifications to help develop a list of independent experts that are interested in helping communities investigate various pipeline safety issues they may encounter.
- Capture the replicable technical assistance help that Pipeline Safety Trust provides in an ongoing Frequently Asked Questions blog, that will become a searchable source for others seeking the same types of information.
Public Abstract
Under the terms of this agreement, the Recipient must demonstrate completion of' the work through the actions it has specified in its Application.
- Promote and provide free technical assistance to local governments, the public, and media.
- Create a searchable weekly Smart Pig FAQ Blog that will answer the "Question of the Week." The blog will provide a searchable FAQ list for future.
- Draft 3-5 additional Briefing Papers on topics of interest to be determined by pubic stakeholders. and update current Briefing Papers.
- Design and launch a Request For Qualifications to generate a list of independent experts that can be provided to local government and citizens in need
- Promote and communicate the availability of all the above to all pipeline safety stakeholders.
- Ongoing measurement and evaluation of program effectiveness will be intertwined in all program elements by tracking the numher and topics of technical assistance requested, the website statistics of the blog and briefing papers, the number and quality of experts identified through the Request For Oualifications, and an online survey of all those who obtained technical assistance from Pipeline Safety Trust.
